Technical Information
Nominal Thickness: Steel sheet manufacturers produce steel sheets to a target or "nominal" thickness. However, variations in the final thickness are unavoidable due to the manufacturing process.
Base Steel Thickness: This is the thickness of the sheet steel material without any coatings.
Coated Thickness: This is the thickness of the steel sheet including any metallic coatings (e.g. zinc or aluminum-zinc alloy) and paint coatings.
Our profiles are differentiated by their Tensile Strength, this has two components: Yield and Ultimate. Yield occurs when the material is no longer able to perform its function (bending or stretching) without breaking. Ultimate is the point at which the material breaks.
The Tensile Strength of a material is the maximum tensile pulling force stress, or maximum force per unit area, that the material can sustain before it breaks under tension.
The Perspectra Plus Series Paint System is a topcoat paint system applied on a flexible primer to enhance corrosion resistance, particularly at cut edges, scratches, and bends. It also covers chemical pre-treatment. We have over 45 colours to choose from, including Bone White, Metro Brown, and Bright Red.
